The Internet provides a lively space to exchange ideas and didactic information. We move people when there is more to be gained by F-T-F gatherings. Virtual exchanges can be synchronous as well as asynchronous, so the benefits for F-T-F need to outweigh what can be done by either mode. Some of the issues and opportunities include meeting in a venue that exceeds the visual and audio impact of a virtual meeting- Examples would be demonstrations, participatory events, building confidence in going virtual by exercises and instruction, and, bringing in participants whose ability to go virtual may be limited
I am interested in building within MN Futurists membership skills that make click space a transparent vehicle for sharing ideas and actions and would like to see ideas discussed in this space.

Here's our F1RST (UNfiled) article that framed the "persistent conversation" challenge to adapt protocols for highly effective "virtual team tactics" BEFORE the 2007 World (Education) Futures Conference ... To help Minnesota Futurists advocate Future Thought (GlobalBrain) Leadership Learning Collaboratory best practices, ACCTTS-LLC donated funding & "social capital" to maintain this affiliated FHWA Prairie Passage "Eco-Futures Forum" HyperPortal @ http://minnesotafuturist.pbworks.com/w/browse/#view=ViewUnfiled ...
