Phil Dow: Economy probably half way through recession
The economic news is getting mildly worse," and there's a high probability it's not going to get much better depending on the jobs report tomorrow." So says Phil Dow, the director of equity strategy at RBC Wealth Management. He tells Steve Potisk that when the government agency that pegs when a recession begins, "will probably date one back six to nine months." So Dow believes we could be "well toward half way through this recession." As for when Wall Street will start discounting better times, Dow expects a rally "early next year."
